This Privacy Policy explains what information PAVLS (Professional Audio Visual Lighting Solutions) collects through pavls.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. In this policy, "PAVLS", "we" and "us" mean Professional Audio Visual Lighting Solutions, based in Redwood City, CA 94063.

- Quote requests. Your name, company or venue, phone number, email address, the products or services you ask about, quantities, and any project details you write.
- Account details. If you create an account to request a quote, your email address, name and sign-in details. Accounts are provided through our sign-in provider, Clerk.
- Messages. Anything you send us by email or tell us by phone.
Information collected automatically
- Request data. Your IP address, browser type, and the date and time of your visit. We record the IP address with each quote request to prevent abuse.
- Your quote list. The items you add are stored in your own browser so the list is still there when you change pages. It is sent to us only when you submit a quote request.
- Cookies. See section 4.
2. How we use information
- To prepare and send quotes, and to answer your questions.
- To supply equipment and carry out services you order, including shipping, installation and support.
- To operate your account and keep it secure.
- To protect the site against spam, fraud and misuse.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not use your information for automated decisions that have legal effects on you.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with:
- Service providers that run the site for us: our web hosting provider, Cloudflare (network delivery and security), Clerk (account sign-in), Google Fonts (typefaces loaded by your browser), and our email provider.
- Partners needed for your order, such as manufacturers, freight carriers and installers, and only the details they need.
- Authorities or other parties when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, customers or the public.
- A successor business if PAVLS is merged, sold or reorganized.
4. Cookies and browser storage
We use only cookies and browser storage that the site needs to work: keeping you signed in, protecting the site, and remembering your quote list. Cloudflare may set a security cookie. We do not currently use advertising cookies or analytics tracking. If that changes, we will update this policy first.
5. How long we keep information
We keep quote requests and related correspondence for as long as we need them to serve you and to keep business, tax and legal records. We keep account details while your account is open. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see section 7).
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections to the site and restricted access to our records. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. You can also close your account. Email [email protected] or call 818-288-3280. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request, and we will not treat you differently for making one.
California residents
If you live in California, California law may give you the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose, the right to request deletion or correction, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in California law. To make a request, use the contact details in section 11. You may use an authorized agent, who must show written permission from you.
8. Children
This site is intended for businesses and adults. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Links to other sites
Our pages may link to manufacturers or other websites. Their privacy practices are their own, and this policy does not cover them.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
